I trained as a commercial employee in a hotel in Basel and have worked in various areas of the commercial sector, including in Spain, where I lived for a few years. I’ve always been very interested in people, countries and different cultures, which is why my husband and I decided to emigrate to Costa Rica in 2000 and work for ourselves there.
For 16 years we ran a bed & breakfast and during that time I also worked at the local tourist office. I also supported local children with their schooling. During my time in Costa Rica, I regularly came to Switzerland for a few months and worked in human resources departments in various areas.
I had my first temporary assignment in HR at Roche in 2014, and in 2015 I stood in for an employee on maternity leave and supported various HR teams. In 2016, I was offered a permanent job at Roche and we returned to Switzerland.
I have been working in HR at Roche for many years and in various areas. My main task at the moment is to assist with the various transformations throughout Switzerland. I am also the contact point for questions regarding the redundancy scheme for employees, business and BPs.
Through my work at the AVR, I hope to be able to represent the interests and concerns of all employees. I want to work to ensure that critical topics are discussed between employees, the business and the company and that good solutions are found.
