As part of the Bike to Work challenge, in May and June, 969 participants defied the weather and cycled an impressive 349,406 kilometers, which corresponds to 50,314 kg of CO2 saved, thanks to the support of the Site Mobility Team and the Roche Employees’ Association (AVR).
The top 3 teams with the most cycling days were “Bike to B8” with 143 days and 5,801 km, “IO Racers” with 141 days and 1,016 km and “Speedy Syringes” with 129 days and 3,555 km – simply incredible!
There were also some lucky participants who won individual and team prizes. The winning team included “PES Powerpedalers” and 21 cycling enthusiasts won great individual prizes.
The traditional closing barbecue party was once again held on a fine summer’s day at Tavero in Basel. The catering team did everything possible to make it a pleasant and enjoyable occasion for the numerous bikers.
